This is the only public golf course on the Costa del Sol. Situated close to Valderrama in the Guadiara area it is fast becoming another favourite with our visiting and resident golfers.
 La Canada was for many years just a 9 hole course, the first nine designed by Robert Trent Jones and opened in 1982. The new nine was designed by Dave Thomas and opened in 2001. It has lovely views across the Rio Guadiaro to the Mediterranean and Valderrama This golf course is not hilly, so if you enjoy golf without a buggy this is a good one to try. Practice facilities: Driving range of 250 m. and two putting greens of 9 and 18 holes.The signature hole is the 18th which is played over the scenic valley .The course has excellent irrigation and drainage facilities, so is always in very good condition all year round.

Our recommendation to players who are not used to warmer temperatures is to use buggies which are always available for rent or alternatively electric trolleys.
